Hey everyone, I haven't been using my blog much to promote the sites and applications we do, but just thought I would until we update our portfolio in the next month. So today I want to showcase a new website we recently did for DrTATTOFF.com.
We are all familiar with the term viral video. But for those of you that have been locked in a basement without internet access for the last three years, let me explain in a very simple manner. So basically, you create a video and post it on a site like YouTube, then it get’s embedded into a bunch of blogs and Myspace profiles, it gets shared on Facebook, it gets pushed up on Digg, the link is passed around via instant messenger, and before you know it you’ve got over a million views. Think of a virus that’s very contagious and how fast it can spread. Now relate that to video.
Hey everyone. So, I just started a serious video blogging campaign. I figured, "Hey, I have a web-cam right in my computer screen, I can talk in a way that captures the essence of my points better than text, and video is catching a lot of eye-balls these days, so WHY DON'T I START VIDEO BLOGGING!"
Ok, You're going to think I'm crazy for posting this (you're going to think I'm crazy when you see me in the video--but hey, all the Top Dogs are a little crazy or eccentric), but I'm going to do it anyway. Think of it as the "realness" involved in quality social media marketing and "conversational marketing." This is a screen-recording of my computer displaying a live feed (in repeat) from Mogulus.com/mashable. I forgot to turn the sound off while I was making the "screen-cast" so you will also hear my girlfriend and I talking over it lol. So you'll here what we think (although just slightly) of the presentation:
Hey my peoples. Just wanted to let everyone know that the Mash Meet went awesome(ly)! The video-recorded performance might make me seem like a wild man, but you have to know the context: A LOUD BAR FULL OF DRUNK PEOPLE. So instead of doing my best Eric Smidt impression, think...um...I don't know, just watch it:
