We are a social media services company. In fact, FaceySpacey is your One Stop Social Media Shop.
We work on Facebook applications and we have tremendous experience working with APIs of web services like YouTube and Flickr and yes, we are working on OpenSocial applications for MySpace as well. WeÒve built social networks for real estate (ReelProperties.tv), for the mortgage industry (SweetSubmit.com), for the tattoo industry (DrTattoff.com); weÒve built Facebook apps for top music and sports new media companies (apps.facebook.com/ultimatepros); we have our own flash widgetizing software and network (Organic Incentive.com); but there is one thing we have to offer which no other social media services company does: Lukup. It has handled 90% of all the development requests clients contract us for.
Lukup is a social aggregation and semantic web platform that connects multiple social networks, consumer web services, browsers, email systems, mobile phone and personalized home pages. We allow you to tap into this via Lukup's APIs!
Featured Project:
Lukup.com
Lukup.com is what Open Social, Data Portability, APML and the Facebook Platform strive to be. It's an open-ended API that provides semantic access to myriad APIs all at once to Site-Owners, preventing them from having to code into the APIs themselves.
There are many social aggregators out there – Flock, Profilactic, Minggl are some of them. However, besides the fact that there is no interactivity, they are mainly ‘life stream’ services where you and your friends can simply see long lists of what you and your friends are doing on the web. They are also not open to use on other websites using APIs.
What Lukup allows you to do are the following.
Put Social web content on your site.
Using Lukup will bring content from 6 social networks and 22 web services to your site. We offer what those companies do as their core business model as a service to you that you can incorporate in whatever your site does.
Put your content in social and mobile networks.
You can choose to put your content and widgets wherever Lukup is present, that is, across 6 social networks, Firefox, IE and Safari and the Lukup application for mobile phones.
Make it Interactive.
Give your users the ability to interact. Let them refer things to their friends, send messages from inside your site and put content into your site's Lukup widget that is shared across multiple networks.
So, what do you get?
You use Lukup's APIs to present your users their "life-streams" from other social networks and services like Twitter, Flickr, Delicious, etc. You present the data fully customized to your site's design, and you place it perfectly intertwined with your current related features. As for the Interactivity part, all the necessary dynamic forms to upload content, create events, message your friends, etc can just as simply be placed on your site and design to match. For instance, you can combine your current messaging tools with Lukup in order to display messages from all your user's social networks and email addresses within your site. Your users can then reply to a Facebook message, a message to his email address, and a message generated from someone else within your site ALL within your messaging system.
Is there anything else?
Yes, we also create a semantic profile of users who used your site. This helps you understand, for example, which services or products you offer that are most useful to users. For example, if a user spends 80% of his time watching videos on Youtube tagged "web 2.0" and reading articles tagged "web 2.0," chances are he's going to enjoy an event tagged "web 2.0." We collect this data from all the 22 services plugged into Lukup, and the 6 social networks currently taking advantage of the API. As Lukup continues to grow, we only have more and more places to semantify content and consequently build what APML.org calls your "Personal Attention Profile." As a website owner using Lukup, you get the opportunity to serve such relevant content pulled from myriad APIs across the web. The only thing we expect in return is to allow us to semantify your content!
